Aram has developed open-source tools for publishers and consulted on content strategy and digital newsroom workflows. and Bob joins us from bobmatyas.com. Bob uses his site as a digital garden and writes about web development, the indieweb, and other random stuff. If you haven't already, now is a good time to create your own user page. It's a great way to introduce yourself to the IndieWeb community, and to collect the things that you are working on, or want to work on, for your personal website. For more details, visit indieweb.org/wikifying. ## Community and Concepts It's 2023 and a great time to set commitments for the year ahead. Maybe you'd like to post more often, or contribute to community projects. Check out the /100_days page for inspiration and to add your own commitments. Just remember that life happens and life takes precedence over arbitrary deadlines. A new year also means it's time for new events. Pop-ups are stand-alone single-topic sessions, originally started in 2020. Learn more, express your interest, or propose your own at indieweb.org/2023/Pop-ups. ## Services and Organizations openRSS, at openrss.org works to provide feeds for dynamic sites like Twitter and YouTube which may not provide their own feeds, or whose feeds can use improvement. ## IndieWeb Development With an active community of plugins and themes, WordPress can be a great way to make an IndieWeb-friendly site. Check out the /Getting_Started_on_WordPress page and join in plans to improve the IndieWeb-WordPress experience in the year ahead. Do you miss Dark Sky, the combination weather API, mobile, and web app that was acquired and then shut down by Apple? Then you might want to take a look at /Pirate_Weather, a free and open weather forecast API created by Alexander Rey which aims to be a drop-in replacement for the Dark Sky API. Other new concepts on the wiki this week include: Elgg, metadata, and ID4. You can follow the links in the newsletter to learn more about, or add detail to, these new terms. --- That's going to do it for this week. Thank you for listening!
